Project Overview:
For the 2023 local election campaign in Victoria Park - Jarrah Ward, I was commissioned to design a cohesive set of promotional materials for candidate Sky Croeser. Sky is a well-known advocate for sustainability, safer streets, and inclusive urban planning. The campaign needed a design approach that would reflect her values: care for the environment, support for active transport like cycling, and strong community connection.
The design brief was to develop visually cohesive and accessible materials that could communicate Sky’s platform clearly to a broad local audience, while standing out in public spaces and community events.
Design Goals:
• Highlight Sky Croeser’s commitment to environmental sustainability and bike-friendly infrastructure,
• Create a visual identity that felt trustworthy, approachable, and community-focused,
• Ensure all materials were clear, readable, and visually appealing across poster, flyer, and banner formats,
• Use a warm, earthy color palette and clean, friendly typography to echo natural and civic themes.
Results & Outcome:
Sky Croeser was elected as the Jarrah Ward councillor, and the campaign was widely praised for its clarity, warmth, and values-based messaging. The design materials played a key role in helping Sky communicate her priorities: greener neighborhoods, more bike lanes, safer streets, and inclusive community engagement.
